How to download ps4 games from the computer

Once the app has finished downloading and installing, fire it up. It will prompt you to sign in to your Playstation Network account. Here you can search for games to download. Tapping on that button will automatically download the game to the PS4 console associated with your PSN account. If you happen to change your mind, you can cancel the download through the app as well. Point any web browser to the Sony Playstation website.

As with the app, you must sign in using the PSN account associated with the PS4 console you wish to download the games to. Browse through the games, find one you like and add it to your cart. Sony advocates backing up the original PlayStation 4 to a hard drive or connecting both consoles to a router with two separate Ethernet cables, but we found the one-cable process to be much easier and surprisingly quick.

After the PlayStation 4 Pro restarts, it will ask you if you wish to transfer data from an older PlayStation 4 to your new model. After finding both systems on the same network, it will ask you to connect the two with an Ethernet cable. The new PlayStation 4 Pro will then ask you to hold the power button down on your original console until it beeps, which takes about one second.

After doing this, the transfer will begin. For our test, we were transferring about GB of data, and the process took an hour. Once the transfer process is complete, your new PlayStation 4 Pro will be percent the same as your original system, save for plenty of extra storage space. Your original PlayStation 4 will automatically shut off, and you can now disconnect it and sell it, stow it away, or place it in a different room. Deleted data cannot be restored, so be careful not to accidentally delete important data.
